Many people will never go through any experience as trying and difficult on the body as childbirth. That is a simple fact. It takes a lot out of a woman to do this; even more so for millions of mothers. Not all women are built equal. Many women have their babies in five, six, seven or eight months. This is not the way nature intended; however, it is a clear indication that childbirth is not a walk in the park. One of the major concerns of a woman, for herself, after giving birth; is to lose the baby weight. Women are not satisfied until this is done. If it doesn’t go back fast enough, they become dejected, have low self esteem and not feel good about themselves.
What happens to a woman after childbirth?
A woman’s body is tired and wounded after childbirth. They need the time to regain energy. Upwards of 400ml of blood is lost during the labor. A couple weeks after that they are still losing upwards of 100ml. that simply means that a lot of the necessary nutrients and vitamins have been depleted and is continuously running her body reserves on low. That is why they are asked to still take their prenatal vitamins for a couple weeks after the event. They will need all the calcium, magnesium and iron that they can get; so too for the nourishing of the child through breastfeeding.
