Weight loss after delivery will not come quickly; this is a fact that women must understand so that they can start with the right mindset. It can take as much as a year, to get your body back into shape. You must first get the go ahead from your doctor for anything that you will engage in; diet or exercise. Then you should follow nutritional plan and stick to it. It might take a little time to see results but don’t get frustrated. If after a while nothing is happening then you will need to revise your plan.
You cannot expect to see dramatic weight loss after delivery because it didn’t happen overnight. It took months for you to accumulate all that weight and it will take just as many to lose it all. Therefore you will need to employ a lot of patience. Celebrities too have to face the same music; if they are honest about it. Many of them will tell you this and have been none to say so.
Fluid retention affects weight loss after delivery
You had a lot of fluid retained while you were pregnant. This is what caused all that excess weight. There was fluid in the placenta which protected your child in the womb. Some women still hold in a lot of that fluid even after they have given birth for many weeks. One of the tricks for getting rid of the excess fluid is from minimizing your salt or sodium intake. You should lessen starchy foods as well. Unfortunately fruits are guilty of this too, but you can simply minimize how much of it you eat in the first couple weeks.
